The One 3.9 Mb(Blues Meets Rock Version)
In April 2006 the guys played two hours of poundin' Mellogrooves in the
Blues Meets Rock
radio program. It was a blast! Here's a moody, stripped down
version of 'The One'. You might want to turn the volume up a bit before playback.
Here's something for the true fans... A loud, gritty version of 'Tumbleweed', recorded in
November 2005 at Muziekcafé Helmond.
Interesting detail: this is Nick Nasty's second gig -
I shit you not. RAWK! Oh yeah, mind the low quality, folks.
This is an early but completed version of 'King Of The Jam', recorded in September 2003 at
New Road Studios by Rob van Boeckel and The Mellotones. It's up to you to find out in what
ways this version differs from the final version - there are quite some surprises.
Recorded as part of the pre-production for 'Not The Same', this version dates back to
May 2003 and was recorded at New Road Studios in just a couple of hours.
Can you believe Ruben & Mike joined The Mellotones only four months earlier!? ;)
Always a live favorite, 'Don't Raise...' was an early expression of the no-thrills,
balls-to-the-wall rockin' side of (then Mike &) The Mellotones.
This version was recorded in Bremen, Germany, 1999, during the Thumbs Up tour. Raw energy!
